Cable Trunking

Cable Trunking

A cable trunk is a transmission channel between two unique wires, where one of these wires acts as a hub or switch for the entire wiring framework. The cable trunking systems manufactured by Ruwais Steel are produced in accordance with the guidelines of BS 4678 Part 1 to ensure high-quality construction and reliable performance.

GI Cable Trunking UAE

Ruwais Steel uses hot-dip galvanized steel or pre-galvanized steel, as specified in BS EN 10142, to fabricate GI cable trunking. To provide the required finish, the GI trunking can be coated with epoxy-polyester powder.

The trunking system is fitted with an aluminium tray that provides a suitable surface for the cables to rest on.

The GI trunking system includes a turnbuckle that helps secure the lid of the cable trunking system. It is also provided with gusseted construction and an integral coupler to help provide a smooth path for cables, particularly around turns and bends.

Types of Cable Trunking Systems UAE

Cable trunking systems help organize multiple wiring lines and reduce cable clutter. They also provide an efficient way to distribute and manage multiple cable connections within commercial and industrial installations.

The following types of cable trunking systems are available:

  • 90-Degree Bend
  • 45-Degree Bend
  • Tee Trunks
  • Weatherproof Cable Trunks: Primarily designed to protect cables from dust and water. These cable trunks are designed with an outward flange and fitted with a gasket to provide tighter sealing.
  • Service Outlet Cable Trunk: These cable trunks are suitable for applications where three to four separate compartments are required to accommodate cables without mixing them.
  • Raised Roof Cable Trunk: These cable trunks are designed for applications where additional flexibility is required within the cable management system.
